Goal Zero Sherpa 100PD

Last night I stayed at my parent’s place. That’s where I get all my parcels delivered. It just makes sense, my mum is home the majority of the time and it is a good excuse to visit. Not to mention the home-cooked meal, cuddles with the dog and general catch-ups.

This morning as I left the house, no one was home and I had to leave through the garage. I was carrying a lot of stuff.

  • A USB c monitor in a box
  • A jumper
  • A laptop
  • A Cygnett battery pack
  • A bottle of Cologne

I was smart and used the monitor box as a type of tray.

Let’s be honest it was perilous and to make matters worse it had been raining.  I opened the garage quite easily but stopped it a bit too low, so I had to duck my head. I didn’t want to put it down on the wet ground to close the garage.

So I winged it. reached inside pushed the little red button of the garage door to close it and pulled my body out of the way.

I managed to avoid the door as it came down, but as I am sure you have anticipated for the last few hundred words, I dropped something.

I looked down and found that my beautiful new Goal Zero Sherpa 100PD was lying on the floor. I found somewhere to put the other items and went to pick it up.  Despite what I anticipate to be 1 + m drop(i am 6ft/184 cm’s and was holding the items in my arms) onto the pavement the Sherpa 100PD was still together. I accessed the damage

  • No scratches to the metallic finish
  • A slight graze to the corner of the control panel

All in all, I was ok with what had gone down. In all honesty, I was stupid and it could have been a lot worse.
